What I collect.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your email address and the time you subscribed. If you fill in a contact, press or speaking form, I collect what you typed into the form plus basic sender metadata (time, approximate location from your IP, browser). That's it. No tracking pixels on this site beyond a single anonymous analytics script that counts pageviews.
What I do with it.
Newsletter emails go through a reputable provider (currently Substack) and are sent weekly-ish. Contact form entries land in a single inbox I read on Thursdays. I never sell, rent, trade, or otherwise hand over your information to third parties. If a government agency issues a valid subpoena, I will comply — but I will also tell you, unless a gag order prevents me, and I will fight any request that looks unreasonable.
Cookies.
This site uses one functional cookie (to remember you've dismissed the welcome banner) and one analytics cookie (to prevent counting you twice in a day). That's it.
Your rights.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter in one click — every email has a link at the bottom. You can ask me to delete any record I have of you by replying to any email or by using the contact form with the subject "Delete my data". I will do so within seven days and send you confirmation when it's done.
Children.
This site is not directed at children under thirteen, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given me information, please contact me and I will delete it immediately.
Changes.
If this policy changes in a material way, I will email every subscriber before the change takes effect. Minor edits (typos, clearer language) may happen without notice, but will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
Contact.
Questions about this policy go to privacy@coralhart.com. I reply within a week.
